450 Watt DC/DC Converters For Electric Vehicles Scalable to 900 Watts

Green Watt Power announces that the EVD 450 family of DC/DC converters has been expanded to include the option of using the units in parallel for redundancy or higher power requirements. The EVD 450 Series is a ruggedized offering of DC/DC converters suitable for electric vehicle, marine, industrial and other applications which draw power from a bank of batteries or other high voltage DC source. The units are primarily used to supply power to accessories, lights, instruments, etc. The “-P” version of the EVD 450 expands the power capability up to 900 Watts.

The input ranges available with the EVD 450 are 30 to 65VDC, 60 to 95VDC and 80 to 126VDC. Output voltages are 13.5 and 14.2VDC. The units operate at 90% efficiency. All models are isolated input to output. The isolation voltage is 2250VDC. Load regulation is 7% from 20% to full load. Line regulation is +/- 0.02%. Ripple and noise is 250mV peak to peak. The temperature coefficient is 0.03%/C. All models feature an ON/OFF function for battery conservation. As with all Green Watt Power products, the EVD 450 is backed by a Five Year Warranty. Each model is protected with over voltage protection, short circuit protection, over temperature protection and is enclosed in a 7.48” x 2.99” x 1.71”H IP66 fully encapsulated enclosure. 400W Electric Vehicle Lithium Ion Battery Charger

Green Watt Power announces the EVC-58-400, a two stage constant current / constant voltage charger for use in charging Lithium Ion battery systems used in Electric Vehicles such as scooters, motorcycles, pallet jacks, etc. The EVC-58-400 features a universal AC input range of 90 to 264VAC. The Power Factor is 0.98 with efficiency up to 93%. The unit is housed in a compact IP64 waterproof enclosure for use in a variety of applications and environments. Overall dimensions are 8.27” x 6.10” (including the mounting flanges) x 1.77” high. The EVC-58-400 is RoHS compliant.

The EVC-58-400 features CAN for communication with the vehicle battery management system for charger status as well as optimizing the charge profile for the battery. The output current of the EVC-58-400 is max 6.8A with an output current range of 3.4 to 6.8A and a voltage range of 39.2 to 58.15V. 720W On-Board Electric Vehicle Lithium Ion Battery Charger

Green Watt Power announces the availability of the EVC-116-720. The EVC-116-720 is a 2 stage constant current/constant voltage charger specifically designed for on-board electric vehicle applications including electric scooters, motorcycles, ATVs, etc. The EVC-116-720 has a universal input range of 90 to 264VAC with an input frequency range of 47 to 63Hz. The charger features CAN communication to optimize the charger performance based upon commands from the vehicle’s battery management system. The charger is rated IP64 with the charge connector rated at IP25. The overall charger dimensions are 12.2” x 7.08” x 2.0”H. Weight is 2.9kg. Depending on application requirements and/or constraints, Green Watt Power can modify the physical packaging, interconnects and/or charge profile to meet the unique needs of each individual vehicle design.

Green Watt Power announces the 240 Watt EVC-52-240 Lithium Ion battery charger. The EVC-52-240 is designed for charging lithium ion batteries for a variety of applications including electric scooters, all terrain vehicles, etc. The unit is housed in a compact IP67 waterproof enclosure for ease of installation/mounting on the vehicle.

The EVC-52-240 has an AC Universal Input Range, 85 to 265VAC and includes a 12VDC 50mA output present signal feature. The input frequency is 47 to 63Hz. Power Factor Correction is 0.99 at 110VAC full load and 0.96 at 220VAC full load. The efficiency of the EVC-52-240 is 90%. The output voltage range is 43 to 57VDC and the output current range is 3.8A to 4.2A. Noise and ripple is +/-15% of the output current. The EVC-52-240 features hiccup mode short circuit protection with auto recovery as well as over voltage protection and over temperature protection.
